Bert Seghers, mathematician by training, works at the Royal Flemish Academy of Belgium for Science and the Arts (KVAB), where he coordinates the Flemish Commission for Research Integrity (VCWI) and the Young Academy (Jonge Academie). When the question to establish a Belgian Reproducibility Network came to the Young Academy, he provided some seed support for the initiating board to get started.
